Humanistic

Humanistic therapy, also known as person-centered therapy, is a positive approach to psychotherapy that focuses on a person's individual nature, rather than categorizing groups of people with similar characteristics as having the same problems. It emphasizes the importance of being true to one's own identity and self-actualization - the process of fulfilling one's potential and achieving the highest level of 'being' capable.

In humanistic therapy, therapists strive to create a comfortable, non-judgmental environment by demonstrating empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness towards their clients. This approach allows clients to explore and understand their feelings and take responsibility for their thoughts and actions. The goal is to help individuals develop a stronger and healthier sense of self, as well as access and understand their feelings to gain a sense of meaning in life.
